Trichomoniasis and Pregnancy
If not treated, the disease can cause a pregnant woman to give birth early or to have a
low birth weight baby. During the first 3 months of pregnancy, women shouldn't take
metronidazole because it may hurt the baby. It is safe to take the medicine after the
first 3 months of pregnancy.
