guidelines:
1/4 teaspoon salt = 600 milligrams (mg) sodium

3/4 teaspoon salt = 1,800 mg sodium
1 teaspoon salt = 2,400 mg sodium
1 teaspoon baking soda = 1,000 mg sodium
